According to the most recent statistics, UK commercial vehicle (CV) production increased by almost 40% with 10,813 new vans, buses, trucks, coaches and taxis produced in May, marking the second consecutive month of increasing output.
46,927 units have already been manufactured this year so far in 2023, which is an increase of 14.3% in comparison to the same time period last year.
SMMT chief executive Mike Hawes said: "This is good news and puts the UK's CV producers in a strong position to deliver green growth for the economy and society.”
