Alloy Ramps continue to roll out projects with Medequip Assistive Technology, the leading provider of community equipment services to both local authorities and the NHS.
The company have recently been in need of new ramps for their new fleet of vans after a recent acquisition. This project requires our skilled team to manufacture and despatch high quality ramps to their chosen body builder ready for fitting into their vehicles. We have also redesigned a new style fixed folding van ramp for a model of vans that are new to their fleet, initially providing a prototype for full testing ahead of bulk manufacture.
Folding ramps remain the best option for this project as they take up minimal room,
allowing space to be maximised within the vans, an important factor that was considered
within the design service.
Alloy Ramps Sales Manager, Luke Smith spoke about the project:
“We have worked with Medequip for a number of years now and this project is a strong example of how we work with our customers generally, placing emphasis on their needs and delivering the perfect solutions to enhance real-time operations.”
Discussing the project, he commented on the importance of having an efficient operationto meet high-quantity orders. The challenge with high volume orders for any manufacturer is simply the question of logistics and, in particular, planning and scheduling completion dates.
“We are working to a very tight schedule, so we are producing and delivering ramps on a weekly basis to make sure that the vehicles go out on time. This was a project we were delighted to take on and it is down to the efforts of our dedicated team of skilled employees that will make this a huge success.”
